Grand Master Robert Heisner
Bushido Kai means the style of the martial arts warrior, it is a system that seeks to train and develop students in the code of ‘Budo’ (the original code of the martial arts warrior)
The system of Bushido Kai was founded by Grand Master Robert Heisner and includes techniques and fighting forms from various martial arts styles such as Tae Kwon Do, Shotokan, Itosu Ryu, Wado Kai, Kyo-Kushin Kai, Bo-Jitsu and Aiki-Jitsu. The art of Bushido Kai seeks to blend these oriental fighting arts along with their techniques, forms and self defense maneuvers into a system that instills respect for the traditional and a strong emphasis on the practical application of personal conditioning and self defense for today’s world.
Soke (founder or grand master) Robert Heisner (9th degree black belt) is the senior instructor of Bushido Kai. Mr Heisner has been a student and instructor of the martial arts for over 45 years. He holds rank certification and has experience in 6 different martial arts styles, including training under numerous experts such as Grand Master Park Jong Soo (former Korean National Champion and 9th degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do) and Shihan H. Otsuka (founder of the Japanese system of Wado Kai)
In addition, Mr. Heisner has operated full time martial arts schools in Buffalo and Niagara Falls. He was an instructor at Niagara Community College from 1972 – 2001. He has taught at the Niagara County Law Enforcement Academy and held instructional seminars for private security companies. He has conducted rape convention seminars for woman throughout Western New York and has run classes through the Niagara Falls YMCA and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Western New York.
Mr. Heisner currently serves as the Director of Project Future WNY Community Center and is the founder and director of the PRISM (Personal Responsibility Is Success in Motion) youth development program which operates throughout Western New York.
